Imagine if you could just walk into your boss' office and after a short, happy conversation agree new work patterns, home working or different expectations to exactly match your short or long-term needs. It is unfortunate that most people would not experience that, with choices limited, protections inadequate and personalities/culture varying. Even protections for employees with mental health conditions are far from perfect, so migraine, anxiety and overload in all its forms are even more difficult for employers to understand and support.
We spend such a large part of our lives at work, getting this bit right would make a huge impact on every part of life. For businesses all these conditions and requests can seem imagined or just a cost to commercial goals.
